John Wick

Before watching John Wick, I had heard a lot of praise about it and had already seen many memes and posts about the film on social media. Because of that, I sat down expecting a movie with high cinematic quality and strong production value. However, it did not really turn out to be that kind of film for me.
At its core, John Wick is a pure action movie. The story and overall context are not built in a very deep or detailed way. Instead, the film focuses almost entirely on action, fight choreography, and stylish violence. In that sense, it clearly knows what it wants to be, but I was expecting something with a bit more substance behind the action.
There were also quite a few logical issues in the story. Some parts felt unrealistic or underdeveloped, and the movie did not always make me care about the world or the characters as much as I expected. Still, considering how many movies today make me want to turn off the screen completely, giving this film a lower score would probably be unfair.
Overall, John Wick is not the masterpiece I expected, but it is still a watchable and entertaining action film. It delivers what it promises in terms of action, even if it falls short in story depth and emotional weight.
