My father always tells me that I should talk about solutions, not problems. but I always have a nervous breakdown because I have empathy for people who are badly affected by society's problems. Being sensitive and smart at the same time is harder than people think. It causes me to constantly impose responsibilities on myself. Recently, I've begun to think that society won't improve if I don't become president. It feels like no one else can do that job properly but me.
Now, as my father used to say, I want to talk about solutions, not problems. First of all, I think there are 3 elements that make society ideal. These are education, culture and comfort. I have no doubt that the society that has all of these three elements is the ideal society. The issue here is the extent to which society has these elements.
Now I want to explain these 3 elements:
1-Education
What I mean by education is not the education given to children in schools today. The education I am talking about is thinking education, philosophy education. Consider that every member of society is a philosopher. A society that questions everything can only reach the truth in my eyes. But it would be foolish to think that education will suddenly change society. It may take hundreds of years for education, along with other elements, to bring a society to an ideal. because what makes society ideal is not the education itself, but the knowledge it provides. In the formation of this knowledge, other elements are as important as education.
2-Culture
How a culture can idealize a society is a little more complicated. The reason is not just to produce knowledge like education. Although culture is one of the indispensable elements of a society and one of the most important elements that hold the society together, it can move the society away from idealism due to cultural degeneration and the wrong living of the culture. For a society to be ideal, it must be able to make cultural changes when appropriate. Most of the time, we see that problems such as discrimination and ignorance arise because people do not want to give up their own culture. A society will come close to being an ideal society if it can make the necessary changes culturally and maintain its ties to its culture. In my opinion, a society without culture cannot be considered ideal. It is an inevitable fact for me that culture is the building block of the ideal society.
3-Comfort
Last but not least, comfort. What does comfort have to do with ideality, you might ask? The answer is very simple. When you examine history, you will see that the reason for the emergence of philosophy and the best philosophers is comfort. Comfort is one of the most important factors in questioning and finding the truth. The society that finds the truth by questioning has one of the most important elements of the ideal society in my opinion. Although many things are required for the society to live in comfort, this is a topic for another day.
I think you know that there are many books written on the ideal society. Instead of just a book, I choose to convey my thoughts to you with a 1-page article. Maybe I'll write a book about it in the future. But for now, with my bad English, I'm trying to share some of my thoughts on this subject with you. waiting for your comments...
